Holiday spirit

If you are an hopeless romantic and an old nostalgic heart like me you can't miss the new Broadway musical " White Christmas" that runs in New York until Jan 4th. Based on the famous movie from the '50 with the amazing songs by Irving Berlin , this musical is a joy for the eyes and the soul. It's a blissful journey to an era of elegance and romance , where true feelings and good manners were standard lifestyle.
An when the snow falls ( for real! ) during the finale..you just wanna cry of joy..As per request of my good friend Carmine from Naples I feature this year's stunning Bergdorf Goodman's Christmas windows. The store creative team always deliver a "winter wonderland white dream ". Even in this bad economy I think they did a great job keeping the Holiday spirit high !

There is nothing like Christmas Time in NYC! Maybe this year I should run down there and have a peek at the windows myself. I know that there are tons of surprises stashed away in the details of the windows that your photos don't reveal. Plus the hustle and bustle of the streets and the noise and cheer that makes it holiday time there. Sigh. I'll talk to the Hubs and see what he says. Thanks Cristiano for the post!!!

You know, I don't think I've ever seen the movie White Christmas, only Holiday Inn, the film it's a remake of, which is wonderful.

Love those BG windows, another thing I never managed to see when I lived in the city.

Doug, you have got to see White Christmas!!! It is worth it just for the song at the end! If you don't tear up then, you are just not human.

I'll look for it on TCM this season. I think they always show it this time of year.
