Sunday in New York

In a warm sunny Sunday me and Nick decided to go and see the new retrospective of Francis Bacon at the Met. To get there we walked through Central Park where a scenario from a Massimo Vitali 's photograph opened in front of our eyes. Thousands of newyorkers splashed the lawns creating this unique sea of humanity. It was pretty spectacular !

The magnifique retrospective of Francis Bacon arrives in New York after the Tate Gallery in London. It's a comprehensive exibition of the complex work of this dark Irish artist considered by some critics just a big bluff, but that still sells for millions of dollars at auctions worldwide.
The show was very inspiring for me because I didn't know much about the artist . Nick , being a painter himself, found interesting the creative process of Bacon's paintings and the evolving of Bacon's style during his life time.We both loved his portraits the most.
